About the company

Standard Uranium Ltd is a uranium exploration company with a focus on the world-class Athabasca Basin in Saskatchewan, Canada.

Since its establishment, Standard Uranium has focused on the identification and exploration of Athabasca-style uranium targets with a view to discovery and future development.

Standard Uranium’s Davidson River Project, in the southwest part of the Athabasca Basin, comprises seven mineral claims over 20,006 hectares.

Davidson River is highly prospective for basement-hosted uranium deposits due to its location along trend from recent high-grade uranium discoveries.

How it is doing

09 Jun 2025

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) announced a summary of its 2025 exploration plans for the Corvo uranium project, located beyond the eastern margin of the Athabasca Basin, currently under a three-year earn-in option agreement with Aventis Energy.

The company said it is preparing a prospecting, mapping, and geochemical sampling program scheduled for July 2025.

This work will aim to ground-truth historical uranium-bearing outcrops, including the Manhattan showing, with previously reported values ranging from 1.19% to 5.98% U₃O₈ (uranium), and the SMDI showing 2052, which returned 0.137% U₃O₈ and 2,300 ppm thorium.

Later in the year, an extensive high-resolution ground gravity survey is planned for the fourth quarter.

05 Jun 2025

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) said it has engaged Axiom Exploration Group to complete a NI 43-101 technical report on its Corvo uranium project in northern Saskatchewan, as the company prepares for its first exploration program on the property this summer.

Corvo is under a three-year earn-in agreement with Aventis Energy Inc. (CSE: AVE).

22 May 2025

Standard Uranium Ltd (TSX-V:STND, OTCQB:STTDF) has announced the first-ever ExoSphere Multiphysics surveys in the southwest Athabasca Basin at its Davidson River project in Saskatchewan.

The surveys are being carried out in partnership with Fleet Space Technologies Canada across three key exploration corridors.

What the brokers say

25 Aug 2022

Broker Canaccord Genuity (TSX:CF, LSE:CF) has noted that Japan's major policy shift to return to nuclear power augurs well for the wider industry and the uranium sector since the commodity is used to feed reactors.

In a note to clients, analysts wrote that Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said this week that the south-east Asian country aimed to restart seven further nuclear reactors from next summer.

This would increase the total number of reactors online to 17 out of the 33 ones in the country, which were operating before the Fukushima disaster of 2011.

What management says

20 Dec 2024

Standard Uranium Vice President of Exploration Sean Hillacre joined Steve Darling from Proactive to unveil an exciting development: the company has engaged Fleet Space Technologies to implement their cutting-edge ExoSphere Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) and ground gravity surveys at the Davidson River project. This marks a significant milestone as Standard Uranium becomes the first uranium company to utilize this innovative technology in the southwest Athabasca Basin.

Hillacre explained that this multidisciplinary approach, leveraging Fleet Space’s end-to-end mineral exploration solution, will significantly enhance targeting precision. By integrating real-time ANT data with ground gravity measurements, the company aims to build upon historical work and overlay new geophysical insights across known uranium-bearing corridors on the Davidson River project. Fleet Space’s ExoSphere technology is a game-changer in mineral exploration.

It combines low Earth orbit satellite networks, satellite-enabled smart seismic sensors, and AI-powered predictive models to streamline the entire exploration process. Deployed in arrays across the exploration area, lightweight seismic sensors known as “Geodes” capture high-quality 3D ANT data from natural seismic vibrations in the ground. This data is transmitted via satellites to deliver actionable insights in real-time, accelerating exploration workflows while minimizing environmental impact.
