Krakatoa Resources Ltd (ASX:KTA) has intersected several zones of mineralisation enriched in lithium and caesium with minor rubidium beneath high-grade lithium oxide rock at King Tamba’s Wilsons-Loader-MGM prospects in Western Australia.
In one discrete zone below the Wilsons high-grade lithium rock chip prospect, an enriched zone of lithium and caesium was encountered from just 3 metres.
In an update on the drilling completed in November, the ASX-lister has released initial assays which show:
- 7 metres at 0.31% Li2O from 3 metres (DAL042);
- 6 metres at 0.20% Cs2O from 7 metres (DAL042); and
- 1 metre at 0.51% Li2O from 74 metres (DAL046).
Drill collar locations and notable intersections over the Wisons-Loader-MGM prospects.
As the lithium and caesium mineralisation in drill hole DAL042 extended beyond the pegmatite and into the country rock, further samples will be collected to increase the coverage of the hole.
Other mineralisation, including zinc sulphide and elevated arsenic, were also identified within the sampled zones.

KTA is scheduled to complete the phase 2 drilling, consisting of a 6,000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drill program of 45-50 holes, over the southern high-grade lithium soil anomaly today.
Work here commenced in early December after the company completed 1,800 metres of RC drilling across the Wilsons, Loader and MGM prospects.
Samples will be transported to Perth and selected for multi-element analysis.
