Gold drilling
Drilling at Wudinna

Cobra Resources Plc (LSE:COBR) said it has completed its latest round of gold-focused drilling at Wudinna in South Australia ahead of schedule, with exploration now switching to rare earths opportunities at the deposit.

Twenty reverse circulation holes covering 2,466 metres were drilled across the Barns, White Tank and Clarke prospects at Wudinna with assay results expected in late April.

The drilling intersected encouraging geology, Cobra added, supportive of further gold and rare earth mineralisation across all three prospects.

Next drilling will focus on expanding Wudinna's rare earths resource alongside an initial exploration of the Boland target.

Rupert Verco, chief executive, said initial geological observations from the recent drilling were positive for further gold mineralisation and should materially contribute to a gold resource update later in the year.

Incorporating the Boland target into the drill programme is an exciting inclusion, he added, resulting from thorough mineralogical and chemical analysis of its rare earths potential.
